Three Empowering Beliefs That Could Change Your Life

by James Gladwin on August 5, 2010

Now and again I post articles that are not directly related to internet marketing. Here is one of mine published by Ezine Articles. It's important and – think about it – maybe it DOES have to do with making money online……

Have you seen pictures of amazing vaults that require three keys to unlock them? Well, our inner self is like one of those vaults, holding incredible riches and potential. But you need three keys to unlock them. Here they are:

First:  A Belief In Acting With Integrity

There is a Zen proverb, “When you walk, walk. When you sit, sit. Whatever you do, don’t wobble.” Integrity is like that. When you speak with integrity, you won’t lie, you won’t prevaricate, you won’t say one thing and mean another. If you say “X” the person listening wi; know deep down that “X” will happen.

Integrity isn’t something that you’re born with, or not. Integrity is something we have to learn, and decide to use everyday of our lives. Abraham Lincoln said, “Whatever you are, be a good one.” Whatever you do, wherever you are, you integrity will attract the best in others, and will bring out the best in you. Integrity works to allow you to lead a life that makes a difference, and that is a gift to others.

Two: A Belief In Loving Tenderly

In the end, this is probably the only thing that matters. There are miles of bookshelves about love, but probably every one of know from day to day when we love, and when we don’t. Does it happen naturally? Not really. We have to renew each day in love, and keep on doing it. Does it get easier? Maybe. But we can choose every day to make our lives a place where love goes to work.

When we love tenderly, we learn to understand other people’s situation when the let us down; when they say hurtful words, when they no longer seem to share the values that matter to us.

When we love tenderly, we learn to let go of cherished opinions so as to open ourselves ot other possibilities that may, at first, seem alien to us.

When we love tenderly, we don’t cling to certainties and fixed positions. We allow a measure of humility to influence our self-perception. Maybe – just maybe –we aren’t right all the time!

Three: A Belief In Personal Transformation

Ghandi said that individuals needed to become the change they wanted to see in the world. So often we expect others to change, and are slower toaccept that probably our need to chance is greater!

We all know that at a physical level our bodies are continually changing; cells divide and multiply, tissue breaks down and renews, and every seven years out entire body is different to that which was before. The challenge is for our mental and spiritual faculties to keep up!

We need to nurture our belief in personal transformation with supportive practices. Read books that develop you self-awareness; listen to CDs and downloads; take part in seminars that offer genuine insight; bookmark web pages that are helpful.

Become extremely tolerant and forgiving of others, and remain true to your own values and standards.

The fact is, you can live your future now. At any one moment you can choose to fully live your life now, not live a half life dominated by the past, or a half-life waiting in life’s bus station for a coach that’s been cancelled!

You really do have the vision, resources, talent and wisdom to live the life you love.

Why wait any longer?

My best to you.
