IS 99.99% GOOD ENOUGH?

by James Gladwin on January 21, 2010

I think this is somehow connected to Internet markting…. along the lines of delighting the customer, and making sure that every part of one’s website / offering / product / service is “gleaming”.

For example, if certain industries were only 99.99% good enough, consider the following:

*One hour of unsafe drinking water per month

*One aeroplane a week lands unsafely at an Australian airport.

*540 pieces of mail would be lost per hour.

*1,300 cheques would be deducted from the wrong accounts each hour.

*12 parts are missing from every new Holden. (Australia’s own car, supposedly)

NOW TAKE NOTE OF THIS LAST ONE.

*Your heart fails to beat 32,000 times each year.

Makes you think, doesn’t it???

My best to you – James
