I bet my Grandma was like your grandma. Kind, forgiving, empowering, ready with cookies after school and the candy bar hidden in your bag when you went home. And best of all? That wisdom distilled into bite sized chunks. “Nobody owes you a living” or “Carrots stop you going blind” or “Waste not, want to” and so on.
Right or wrong, there’s sense in those pithy, brief nuggets.
And in a couple of weeks, I’m going to be a Grandma. Er, no, wait – Grandpop. And then it’ll be my turn, in time, to be a nugget bearer. But maybe mine – and yours – will need be relevant to the Internet age that my grandchildren will grow into with increasing ease and familiarity. Which set me thinking.
